Our End of Year Pre-School Concert will be held on Saturday 6th December at 10:30am

ATTENDANCE & PARTICIPATION

Our default preference is that all students participate in our End of Year Concert and students work on these routines each week in class, developing their skills in the process and learning the importance of rehearsal, commitment, performance techniques and teamwork.

In terms of attendance, it is very important that students do not miss any of their scheduled classes between now and concert time so they can spend their rehearsal time together to perform their routines, feel confident and look amazing. Of course, this is only if it can’t be helped and in line with studio guidelines. If for any reason your child will miss a number of their regular classes in Term 4, we ask that you contact reception to let us know in advance.

If there is any reason why your child will not be able to perform at the concert on the dates and times provided, please let us know so we can make amendments to the class routines involving them.

SUMMARY:
Our default is YES - all dancers are assumed to be participating unless you tell us otherwise.
If your child is unable to participate, please email us ASAP so we can adjust routines and avoid unnecessary invoices.

❗️ Please note: Students with unpaid term fees will not be able to participate in the concert.

Performer Fee: $70 per dancer (this is all valued at $120)

* We are now including the photo/video pack automatically into your rego so it isn't an add on & we will be having an epic photo wall/purple carpet again with our professional photographer*

Family Discounts:

2 dancers = $120

3 dancers = $160

Costume Deposit: $30 per class, per student
(Excludes: Little Ninjas, Acro classes, Tiny Groovers as they will wear uniform)

🟣 We are going to try & keep this year's costume theme on brand with Purple, black & white - pieces that can be reused as part of your MF uniform! If we can we will re-use costumes but our aim is to keep costumes at the most affordable price possible whilst making sure the students feel & look amazing!

CONCERT TSHIRT ORDER FORM, MEMORABILIA & PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEOGRAPHY

CONCERT TSHIRT

All students receive a concert commemorative t-shirt included as part of their performers fee. You can pre-select the size you wish to receive by filling out the form below. Please see the dates to remember (graphic above) for the due date for these selections - anyone who has not preselected their shirt size will have their t-shirt assigned based on their age.

CONCERT MEMORABILIA

VIDEOS

We engage the services of a Professional Videographer. All parents will receive a digital download of their dancers show included as a part of your concert performers fee. All parents will be emailed the link which will enable you to view and download the concert videos at home.


Concert videos will be emailed out early January and will be available for 4 weeks only to download.

ON STAGE & BEHIND THE SCENES PHOTOS

We engage the services of a Professional Photographer who will be taking on stage photos of all shows. Please be aware that the “live on stage” images are captured in the moment and there is no way to guarantee that photos will be taken of each individual child. We will have our media wall set up again prior to the shows for our professional photographer to snap photos of your dancers individually & with friends .
All digital images will be provided to parents which is included as a part of your concert performers fee.

TROPHY & LOLLY BAG
All students will receive our 2025 MF Dance Trophy as well as a yummy lolly bag to enjoy! There may also be another little surprise for our dancers.

REHEARSAL DAY

Rehearsal Day = Sunday 16th November @ MF Dance Studio

At MF Dance Studio we understand that the end of year is a busy time for families which is why we like to put our dates out so far in advance. These rehearsals are important for the STUDENTS as it allows them to practice in a 'concert' setting, practice costume changes & learn the finale!

PRE-SCHOOL CONCERT REHEARSAL- Includes all Mini Movers & Groovers classes, Pre-School Hip Hop, Little Ninjas ,Acro classes & Tiny Groovers

HAIR is required

NO MAKEUP is required

Drop Off Time for ALL Pre-School Concert Students = 9:00am Sharp

Pre-School Concert Rehearsal = 9:30-11:15am

Pick Up Time for All Pre-School Concert Students = 11:30am

Students will receive their 2025 Concert T-shirt either before this date or on this date.

ALL Students to arrive in their MF Uniform (do not arrive in costumes) with their HAIR done.

WHAT TO PACK:

Pack all Costumes

Pack All Dance Shoes

Pack Hair Accessories to match Costumes
Water Bottle
Small easy snack (nothing too messy or sticky)

Hair Spray, Gel, Brush/Comb etc incase we need to do hair touch ups.

Our staff will get everyone dressed during the show run & get the students ready for collection but we highly suggest that EVERYTHING IS LABELLED.

Wear Dance undergarments that would be worn on concert day (see further information detailed later in "what to wear")

CONCERT DAY PROCEDURES

CONCERT DAY = Saturday 6th December @ Inaburra School Performing Arts Centre

DROP OFF & PICK UP

On concert day, all of the students will be staying backstage with us for the duration of the concert. Students need to have their hair and makeup done and arriving in their 2025 Concert T-Shirt & any MF Uniform bottoms/black bottoms. DO NOT ARRIVE IN COSTUME.

DROP OFF TIME= 9:15-9:30am @ the right hand side of the foyer at Inaburra School Performing Arts Centre

This is our pick up zone & is where out staff will mark your child's name off & then we will take them backstage. No parents backstage.

Students are required to arrive at 9:15-9:30am sharp as we have planned photos for everyone before the show.

During the dropping off times, we ask that one parent/guardian comes with their child into the drop off area (you will be directed once inside the venue).

PICK UP TIME = 11:30/11:45AM (Once the show has finished)

We will then escort all the students backstage to collect their belongings & we will bring them back on the stage. Your child will be seated in a group with a staff member labelled the day they dance "Monday, Tuesday Wednesday etc". We ask that one parent/guardian comes to collect their child & MUST get their name marked off with our staff member.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask us. We will ensure that we talk you through the concert day procedure again in the weeks leading up to the concert.

PHOTO MEDIA WALL

If you wish to get photos taken on our photo/media wall by our professional photographer then please arrive at 9:00am so you have time before the drop off deadline of 9:20am. The photographer will be unavailable from 9:15am.

We will have an epic set up again with a balloon arch, photo frames, our media wall & a purple runway.

You can also take your own photos before & after the show!

SECURITY & STUDENT SAFETY

To help with student organisation and safety, we ask that you have read & understand our drop off & pick up procedures.

As always, the safety of our dance family is our #1 priority. On concert day all students will need to be signed in / out of security lists to gain access backstage. All backstage helpers will be issued with security passes that are required to be worn at all times. Only MF Dance Studio staff and registered parent helpers are permitted backstage. We are unable to run messages or food to students, so please make sure they have everything before they come backstage for rehearsal and the concert. There will be a someone at the door for the entire day checking passes. We do this to protect the students, please respect this policy. Please try not to bring anything valuable, especially electronic devices. Our studio will take no responsibility if an item is damaged, misplaced, lost or stolen.

MEDICAL CONDITIONS

If your child has any Medical Conditions that may require attention whilst in our care or are carrying any medication with them, please notify our supervisors when you sign in. We have everyone's medical conditions on file but if you would like to remind us that is great & you MUST let us know if your child is carrying any medication.

ALL Students are to arrive in their 2025 MF Dance Concert T-Shirt & MF Uniform bottoms or black bottoms. NO COSTUMES to be worn to the venue.

Mini Movers & Groovers = Tan Slip on Jazz Shoes

Minis Acrobatics = Bare Foot

Little Ninjas = Bare Foot

Pre-School Hip Hop = ALL White Joggers

Tiny Groovers = Bare Foot

Boys in Mini Movers & Groovers = Black Slip on Jazz Shoes

UNDERWEAR
Note: Every female student from Pre-School class age & up needs to wear tan dance undies.

Dance undies are available for purchase at Daisy Dance Wear located around the corner from the studio.
Please be aware that under stage lights, dark coloured or patterned underwear does not look good under light coloured costumes.

ACRO PERFORMANCE - WEARS MF DANCE UNIFORM

Students will be wearing MF Dance Uniform for their Acrobatic routines. They can choose to wear anything but please note if they choose to wear a loose t-shirt or singlet they must have a crop top on underneath!

LITTLE NINJAS- WEARS MF DANCE UNIFORM

All of our Little Ninjas will wear their MF Dance Boys Crew T-Shirt with Black Shorts ONLY. No other colour shorts please.

MINI MOVERS & GROOVERS- WEARS A COSTUME

All of our Mini Movers & Groovers students will receive a costume to wear. This needs to be packed with your child on the day!

PRE-SCHOOL HIP HOP

Our Pre-School Hip Hop students will receive a costume to wear. This needs to be packed with your child on the day!

TINY GROOVERS- WEARS MF DANCE UNIFORM

Tiny Groovers will wear whatever MF Dance Uniform they would like.

HAIR

ALL Dancers will require 2 x Slick High Space Buns (see photos below)

Boys will have slick hair - can choose a 'cool' style


You will need to use a lot of hairspray/gel and a fine tooth comb to achieve the slick look and possibly multiple elastics. Please also use an elastic the same colour as their hair.

MAKEUP

For out little performers we don't want makeup too heavy!
Please try not to cake it on or make it look like a mask as this does not look natural on stage.

Apply make-up base. Foundation needs to be darker than what their normal shade would be- not too much darker but. Can use a tinted moisturiser & powder if preferred!
Apply pinkish brown tone blush to cheekbones.

Apply pink/brown eye shadow on lid – work from the inside corner along the lash line. You may also like to use white under the brow to highlight.

Add black mascara to both top and bottom lashes (if you can) I know little ones don't always like this.

Apply red lipstick.

Please note, boys are not required to wear makeup.

JEWELLERY AND NAIL POLISH

Dance earrings can be worn- these can be purchased from Daisy Dancewear.
No extra Jewellery is to be worn please leave all jewellery at home. Also, please remove all nail polish.

WHAT TO BRING

FOOD & DRINK

We don't believe students need any food but if absolutely necessary pack a small non messy snack! We have a canteen on site that the students can go buy some yummy food after the show. Please bring a labelled water bottle ONLY- no soft drinks or juices.

PACKING CHECKLIST

It is suggested that students bring all of their belongings in a small plastic box or clear costume bag. It is much easier than rummaging through a bag. Please write their names all over the box and on everything that they bring, every year we have so many pairs of dance shoes and uniforms lost that are never claimed. Please use the following checklist:

COSTUMES

$30 Costume Deposit per class & per student

Costumes will be bought for

This will be invoiced to you between 25th-31st August with your Concert Rego Pack.

Final invoices will be sent out for the final owing amount on costumes & will be due 1st November. For our Pre-School Concert we do our very best to keep costume costs to a very affordable amount but also want to ensure our little superstars look & feel incredible!

Your child will not receive their costume for Dress Rehearsal or Concert Day if it is not paid for & will have to wear uniform
