Our Mid Year Performance Squad & Soloist Concert will be held on Saturday 20th June 4:30pm.

ATTENDANCE

In terms of attendance, it is very important that students do not miss any of their scheduled classes between now and concert time so they can spend their rehearsal time together to perform their routines, feel confident and look amazing. Of course, this is only if it can’t be helped and in line with studio guidelines.

We will be running all brand new routines from 2026 in class to perform on the day.

CONCERT FEE

Dancers will be invoiced for the Performer Fee ONCE which will cover them for both shows (if they are in both shows)
HOWEVER
for the Squad/Soloist Concert you will need to select if you want the Photo/Video Package for $30

Performer Fee: $60 per dancer (this is all valued at $85)
Includes:

Registration Fee (including extra staff support)

Concert Day Memorabilia (there will be an extra something special for our Squad Dancers on Concert Day)

Digital download of ALL stage & backstage photography and videography (of Recreational Concert)- must purchase seperate pack for the squad & soloist concert.

* We are now including the photo/video pack automatically into your rego so it isn't an add on & we will be having an epic photo wall again with our professional photographer*

CONCERT MEMORABILIA

VIDEOS

We engage the services of a Professional Videographer. All parents will receive a digital download of their dancers show included as a part of your concert performers fee. All parents will be emailed the link which will enable you to view and download the concert videos at home.


Concert videos will be emailed out early and will be available for 4 weeks only to download.

ON STAGE & BEHIND THE SCENES PHOTOS

We engage the services of a Professional Photographer who will be taking on stage photos of all shows. Please be aware that the “live on stage” images are captured in the moment and there is no way to guarantee that photos will be taken of each individual child. We will have our media wall set up again prior to the shows for our professional photographer to snap photos of your dancers individually & with friends .
All digital images will be provided to parents which is included as a part of your concert performers fee.

STUDENT SURPRISE
All students will receive a small surprise gift at our 2026 Mid Year Concert.

CONCERT DAY PROCEDURES

CONCERT DAY = Saturday 20th June 4:45pm

DROP OFF & PICK UP

On concert day, all of the students will be staying backstage with us for the duration of the concert. Students need to have their hair and makeup done and arriving in their MF Dance Uniform. DO NOT ARRIVE IN COSTUME.

You can leave the red lipstick off & staff will make sure this is done along with any other touch ups after our stage run!

DROP OFF TIME= 3:45PM @ the right hand side of the foyer at Inaburra School Performing Arts Centre

This is our pick up zone & is where out staff will mark your child's name off & then we will take them backstage. No parents backstage.

Students are required to arrive at 3:45pm sharp as we have planned photos & a stage run for some of our routines- especially our little ones.

During the dropping off times, we ask that one parent/guardian comes with their child into the drop off area (you will be directed once inside the venue).

PICK UP TIME = Once the show has finished - Estimated Finish Time 7PM.

*5 YEARS SQUAD - can be picked up at interval* - we will bring them out to the foyer at interval.

We will then escort all the students backstage to collect their belongings & we will bring them out to the foyer.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask us. We will ensure that we talk you through the concert day procedure again in the weeks leading up to the concert.

PHOTO MEDIA WALL

If you wish to get photos taken on our photo/media wall then please arrive earlier than the drop off time as we need students in the changerooms at 3:45pm sharp.

We will have an epic set up again with a balloon arch, photo frames, our media wall & so much more.

You can also take your own photos before & after the show!

SECURITY & STUDENT SAFETY

To help with student organisation and safety, we ask that you have read & understand our drop off & pick up procedures.

As always, the safety of our dance family is our #1 priority. On concert day all students will need to be signed in / out of security lists to gain access backstage. All backstage helpers will be issued with security passes that are required to be worn at all times. Only MF Dance Studio staff and registered parent helpers are permitted backstage. We are unable to run messages or food to students, so please make sure they have everything before they come backstage for rehearsal and the concert. There will be a someone at the door for the entire day checking passes. We do this to protect the students, please respect this policy. Please try not to bring anything valuable, especially electronic devices. Our studio will take no responsibility if an item is damaged, misplaced, lost or stolen.

MEDICAL CONDITIONS

If your child has any Medical Conditions that may require attention whilst in our care or are carrying any medication with them, please notify our supervisors when you sign in. We have everyone's medical conditions on file but if you would like to remind us that is great & you MUST let us know if your child is carrying any medication.

WHAT TO WEAR AND BRING

ALL Students are to arrive in their 2025 MF Dance Concert T-Shirt & MF Uniform bottoms or black bottoms. NO COSTUMES to be worn to the venue.

UNDERWEAR
Note: Every female student needs to wear tan dance undies.

Dance undies are available for purchase at Daisy Dance Wear located around the corner from the studio.
Please be aware that under stage lights, dark coloured or patterned underwear does not look good under light coloured costumes.

DANCE EARRINGS, NAIL POLISH/NAILS & JEWELLERY

Every student needs to be wearing dance earrings only. NO Hoops.
NO Jewellery! We will take these off the students

NO Fake Nails & NO Nail Polish

HAIR

5 yrs Squad - Middle part 2 x slick space buns

8yrs - Opens Squad = Middle Part High Slick Bun w/a small amount of hair out the top (still has to be neat)

You will need to use a lot of hairspray/gel and a fine tooth comb to achieve the slick look and possibly multiple elastics. Please also use an elastic the same colour as their hair.

MAKEUP
Please try not to cake it on or make it look like a mask as this does not look natural on stage.

Apply make-up base. Foundation needs to be darker than what their normal shade would be- not too much darker but. Can use a tinted moisturiser & powder if preferred!
Apply pinkish brown tone blush to cheekbones.

Apply pink/brown eye shadow on lid – work from the inside corner along the lash line. You may also like to use white under the brow to highlight.

Add black mascara to both top and bottom lashes (if you can) I know little ones don't always like this.

Apply red lipstick.

WHAT TO BRING

FOOD & DRINK

Students need to bring some food to fuel up after our stage run. We suggest a healthy snack & the maybe a few lollies for some extra energy. We have a canteen on site that the students can go buy some yummy food after the show. Please bring a labelled water bottle ONLY- no soft drinks or juices.

PACKING CHECKLIST

It is suggested that students bring all of their belongings in a clear costume bag or dream duffel bag. It is much easier than rummaging through a bag. Please write their names all over the box and on everything that they bring, every year we have so many pairs of dance shoes and uniforms lost that are never claimed. Please use the following checklist:
